Now that we’re in the fourth week of June, you might see some spotted young fawns in the park. The white-tailed does give birth from around the middle of May to the middle of June. And, for the first couple of weeks, the does hide their young in thick foliage in order to protect them during their most vulnerable time. Now, the fawns are stronger – and they’re ready to venture out into the world. But they’re still protected in other ways.
